The role
As a Fire Fighter, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. An exciting opportunity to join a well-established contract providing class leading support to the UK Ministry of Defence. An interesting, dynamic and rewarding role utilising specialist skills whilst operating within a small team, albeit being part of a much bigger International organisation.
Day to day, you will ensure the provision of operational airfield crash/fire rescue services including first on scene medical assistance (Full training will be given) to support the flying task, as well as:
  • Completing relevant mandatory training to ensure you are mentally and physically fit enough to complete any challenges that may occur, maintaining and operating fire service equipment and vehicles you will assist the Crew Managers to ensure that you and the fire crew are ready to respond to any aircraft emergency during the days flying programme.
  • Further opportunities to develop into a Crew Manager role may be available.

This role is full time and based onsite at RAF Woodvale, however, the company may, on occasion, ask you to deploy to other sites or support detachments at other operating locations.
Essential experience for the Fire Fighter:
  • Current or recent experience in Military or Civil Fire Service
  • IT skills MS office, word excel.
  • Experience of support to military or civilian flying operations

Qualifications for the Fire Fighter:
  • DFR approved basic firefighter course certificate.
  • Breathing Apparatus Wearer Certificate
  • LGV C Class 2 Driving Licence

The successful candidate must be able to achieve BPSS & EDBS security clearance for this role.
