Firmware Engineer

This is a company that hold a progression path from graduates up to a Chief Engineer position.

This role is responsible for all aspects of product design from production, however focusing on improving the testing of both firmware and hardware.

The main responsibilities for this Firmware Engineer job based in Oxford include:

-Develop sophisticated embedded software for microprocessors covering full product life cycle version control and release management

- Design mechanical parts for products, including frames and housings

- Manage complex projects; plan, track and manage development tasks

- Install, use and maintain tools and technologies such as PCB design tools and software development environments

The experience required for the Firmware Engineer job based in Oxford:

- In depth c/c++ experience in real-time embedded systems

- Experience of testing firmware for low to medium volume production, including unit system level testing, planning and execution

- Some experience and knowledge of schematic capture, PCB design and layout

- Ability to analyse hardware / firmware interaction faults
