Desktop Support Technician
Expert IT Solutions (based in Stirling) are recruiting for a First Line Support technician. This position will be solely based within our Stirling office. The company specialises in support for small and medium sized businesses. Clients vary from large multi-branch operations to small businesses and charities in varied market sectors. The company also provides web hosting services.
The role
To take responsibility for responding to support requests from customers by telephone or email, to diagnose technical issues and implement resolutions as required. You will be part of a small team, but at times you will be required to work alone using your own initiative.
Essential Skills, Competencies & Experience
Knowledge of:
- Windows 10 & 11
- Office 2016 and upwards
- Windows Server 2016, 2019 & 2022
- Office 365
- Sharepoint
- Network experience and knowledge of networking protocols.
- Effective troubleshooting skills, time management and the ability to prioritize.
- Ability to take ownership for a task and effect a resolution, single handed where necessary.
- Excellent communication skills
Desirable Skills
- Industry recognised qualifications such as MTA, MCSA, HNC/HND in technical support.
Hours of work
- 9am to 5.30pm 5 days per week.
