We are currently recruiting for a Family Information Service Adviser to join our Early help team on a fixed term contract until March 2025.

About the role 

 

Your role within the Early Help team is to provide first class, customer focussed service; supporting families and practitioners across Gloucestershire to access comprehensive information, advice and guidance about children and young people’s services. 

 

The role is involved in a fast-developing frontline service within MASH, offering Early Help to families.

 

The position will involve communicating with various agencies and family members, gathering information to support requests for the service by ensuring the most appropriate response is provided, and enabling families to thrive.

 

 

About you

 

You must have excellent communication skills and be able to process and record information accurately onto numerous IT systems to support service delivery within a busy fast paced team.

 

As well as your experience supporting children and families you will need:

 

  • a full driving licence and willingness to drive
  • good standard of numeracy and literacy
  • NVQ level 3 qualification in Advice or Guidance or equivalent or relevant experience and willingness to improve knowledge base
  • good working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages, particularly Word and Outlook
  • competence in accessing information from the internet
