This is a full time permanent role, working Monday - Friday you will be working on a well-known rail track in North Wales. Key Duties:
- To carry out repairs and maintenance of all SMR locomotives, carriages, associated rolling stock and other equipment as directed by the Railway Maintenance and Operations Department.
- Assist in other areas of maintenance (Tack and Site) under supervision or unsupervised on tasks competent to undertake as directed by the Railway Maintenance and Operations Department
- To work as part of the Maintenance Team with others and without direct supervision on specific allocated tasks
- Rolling Stock Fitters are required to undertake training to allow them to operate on site plant when occasion demands
- Carry out routine maintenance and minor repairs of rolling stock within competency ensuring that work has been checked and the rolling stock is fit to entre service
- Carry out inspections, greasing and brake tests on rolling stock
- Carry out work on pressure systems within competencies
Essential
- Qualified in Mechanical Engineering to HNC/HND/BEng level
