Primary Responsibilities:
- Market opportunistic and real-time trading opportunities based on proprietary desk analysis
- Develop extensive relationship with institutional account list.
- Fulfill or meet commission budgets set by management yearly.
- Be versed in the secondary trading of high yield and distressed Fixed Income securities as well as post re-organisation equities, convertibles, bank debt and trade claims.
- Provide timely and creative solutions in trading complex private and public securities, bank debt, trade claims
- Maintain and expand relationships with liquidity providers and further develop the use of trading platforms.
- Utilise market related research relating to trade flows, positioning and sentiment.
- Formulate investment opinions; interact and provide strategy to sales and trading force; provide interaction with institutional client base.
- Maintain updated knowledge on compliance matters as it relates to credit trading.
- Lead and participate actively in Sales & trading morning meetings and weekly research meetings to present research ideas and opportunities as well as to foster communication between Sales force and Trading team.

- Senior level ability to interpret dynamic and complex situations quickly and issue an opinion; ability to see the big picture and issue opinions and recommendations accordingly.
- Proven experience and success leveraging a sales and trading force and communicating successfully with the company executives regarding companies/industries covered.
- Team player who pro-actively communicates across the department and broader firm.
- Passion for uncovering unique insights into companies, as well as motivating and driving values within department.
- Communication skills, written and oral are essential; opinions must be communicated and disseminated in a timely manner.
- Core understanding of stock market and implications of underlying economic trends and current events.
- Good understanding (i.e. income statement, balance sheet, cash flow statement, etc.).
Education & Experience
- Minimum of 5 years of experience
- Experience in investment banking/brokerage industry.
- Degree level education required
- FCA, CF30 Customer Qualification and Series 7 & 63 FINRA Licenses ideally
- Excellent knowledge of Bloomberg
