Job description

Role: Flat Roof Integrity Testing Technician

Location: Cambridge

Salary: 23,000-25,000 dependent on experience

Hours: Full-time, Mon-Fri

Employment Type: Permanent

Reporting directly to the Roofing Divisional Manager, the Integrity Testing Engineer is responsible for conducting integrity tests on existing or recently applied waterproofing membranes. Utilising cutting-edge testing and reporting technology, the candidate would meticulously log and present findings to clients, addressing concerns or providing independent third-party support, as requested by regulatory bodies like NHBC, LABC, and Premier Guarantee.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to safety guidelines and utilise appropriate equipment for work at heights.
  • Perform tests and inspections on various products and systems to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Execute test procedures and protocols accurately, recording results meticulously.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with products or systems during testing.
  • Collaborate with engineers and team members to identify opportunities for process improvement.
  • Maintain and calibrate test equipment to ensure optimal functionality.
  • Document test results and prepare comprehensive reports for management review.

This full-time position operates across central and southern regions of the UK, with some flexibility for remote work. Daily tasks include recording ELD testing data, client communication, and delivering exceptional customer service.

Qualifications:

  • Desirable qualifications include Roofing NVQ2 or Level 2 Diploma in Roofing Occupations, as well as training in roofing membrane application and integrity testing.
  • A NFRC qualification is preferred, along with possession of a CSCS Blue Card.
  • Knowledge of equipment manufactured by Buckleys and Leister is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in general IT skills, including Word and Excel, is required.
