Fleet and Maintenance Office- Established Commercial Dealer in Huddersfield

• Basic Salary- Up to £40,000.00 
• Annual Bonus after 12 months service.
• Permanent/Full Time
• 31 days annual leave rising with service including Bank Holidays. (Business closure at christmas for 4 days) 
• 42.5 hours, Monday-Friday with occasional Saturdays. (7:30/8am-15:30/16:00) 

This is an excellent opportunity to join one of the UKs most established commercial dealers. Our client are looking to add an experienced Fleet and Maintenance Officer to their team, the ideal candidate will have Excellent HGV Technical knowledge with previous experience within commercial rental.

Responsibilities of a Fleet and Maintenance Officer: 

• Handle all legal/compliance events on rental fleet vehicles.
• Responsibility for planning all scheduled events within timescales such as MOT, PMI Safety inspections, Brake tests, crane services, LOLERS and vehicle taxing etc. 
• Liaising with customers and suppliers building a working relationship with all. 
• Ensure all vehicles are set up correctly on in house software systems. 
• Providing head of rental with weekly compliance overview and reports. 
• Lead on customer breakdowns, logging and deploying to relevant parties. 
• Report on vehicle lease expiry dates.

Requirements to become a Fleet and Maintenance officer: 

• Excellent HGV Technical Knowledge
• An NVQ Level 3 in HGV would be desirable.
• Confident to understand how and why a truck repair is required. 
• A natural communicator with excellent time management skills. 
• Previous rental experience is desirable. 
• Ability to work under pressure and committed to meet deadlines.
