Fleet Co-ordinator

We have an exciting opportunity that has arisen within our Reactive Repairs team for a Fleet Coordinator. You will ensure that all Southern Housing vehicles nationally are fully roadworthy and that all services, insurances, and taxes are fully up to date, coordinate the leasing, hiring and maintenance of all vehicles nationally. You will also monitor and record nationally all vehicle related costs highlighting areas of concern to the relevant Line Manager.

In addition, you will:

• Assist in ensuring that an up to date national vehicle database is kept and maintained which records service dates, MOT dates, parking permits, road tax, insurance and lease/rental dates.
• Assist in ensuring that all vehicles have been serviced in accordance with manufacturers guidance including arranging delivery and collection and a temporary vehicle for the relevant operative.
• In liaison with the lease company ensure that all MOT certificates are carried out before their due date to ensure continuity.
• Ensure that any relevant parking permits are obtained and renewed in order to ensure that continuity of service is provided. Ensure records are updated and key personnel are advised when permit/parking arrangements change.
• Ensure that all new operatives have had their licence validated prior to providing them with a works vehicle. Ensure annual driving licence checks are carried out.

What you’ll need

• Experience of working with external suppliers and delivering cost effective outcomes
• Good understanding of data monitoring and analysis
• Good interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate well with staff, managers and other organisations both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to work well in a team, self-motivated and able to achieve targets and a high standard of service.
• Good understanding of Microsoft Office and web-based portals
• A thorough understanding and commitment to ensure that all relevant health and safety statutory obligations and methods of good practice are effectively incorporated within all operations and that regularly health and safety meetings are attended to promote and improve our systems and processes to ensure the safety of our staff, residents, contractors and members of the public.
