Position: Flexographic Printer
Location: Royston
Hours: 6am-2pm and 2pm-10pm (Rotating Weekly)
Salary: DOE
Job purpose
To complete a training programme to enable the printer to operate flexographic printing equipment
(Nilpeter and Digicon press) competently as instructed on his/her own, to produce quality labels in a timely and efficient manner.
Duties & responsibilities
- Operate equipment according to procedure and job specification
- Ensure daily productivity targets are met
- Ensure jobs are produced to the highest quality, working to ISO9001, PS9000 and BRC standards
- Accurately record equipment settings to enable repeat jobs
- Contribute to maintaining a Continuous Improvement culture
- Follow all safety procedures for job role
- Maintain work area in an organised, tidy, acceptable manner
- Maintain colour to agreed standards
- Conduct general maintenance of the equipment, maintain high cleanliness levels
- Ensure optimum equipment set up and product output with efficient use of consumables
- Have a good understanding of printing with CMYK - colour appreciation
Key requirements
- Computer literate
- Effective communication skills (English language essential) both verbal and written
- Excellent attention to detail and able to follow instructions/procedures
- An effective team player and able to work independently
- GCSE in English and Maths (grade C, 4 or above, or equivalent)
- Strong organisation and time management skills
Shift pattern
Double day weekly rotating shift pattern:
They are happy to train people up who have transferable experience.
