Job Title: Front of House (FOH) Manager

Salary: Depending on experience, around £30,000 per annum.

Average Hours: 45-50 hours per week. Sunday evening, Monday, and Tuesday off. Hours to be organized by the FOH Manager as part of shift scheduling.

Role Overview: As the Front of House (FOH) Manager at our client’s pub and restaurant in Alresford, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the front-of-house operations. You will ensure the delivery of exceptional customer service, manage the FOH team, and contribute to the overall success of the establishment.

Key Responsibilities:

Customer Service Excellence:

Ensure that all guests receive a warm welcome and excellent service throughout their dining experience.
Address any customer inquiries, feedback, or complaints promptly and professionally, striving to exceed expectations.

Staff Management:

Recruit, train, and supervise front-of-house staff, including servers, bartenders, and hosts/hostesses.
Schedule staff shifts and organize their duties to ensure smooth operation during service hours.

Operational Efficiency:

Coordinate with the kitchen team to ensure timely preparation and delivery of food orders.
Monitor inventory levels of front-of-house supplies, such as beverages and tableware, and reorder as needed.

Quality Control:

Maintain cleanliness and organization in the dining area, bar, and other front-of-house areas, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.
Conduct regular inspections to ensure that all service areas meet cleanliness and presentation standards.

Financial Management:

Assist in developing and implementing strategies to maximize revenue and minimize costs, including managing labour expenses and controlling inventory.
Handle cash and card transactions accurately, ensuring proper accounting procedures are followed.

Requirements:

Previous experience in a supervisory or managerial role in the hospitality industry, preferably in a pub or restaurant setting.
Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
Excellent customer service skills and a passion for delivering memorable dining experiences.
Knowledge of food and beverage operations, including inventory management and cost control.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
