The 144-room Ibis Bridgwater - Opened in March 2021 - is managed by Cycas Hospitality and is Cycas' first property under the Ibis name by the Accor brand. The five-storey property will incorporates a ground-floor restaurant named the Keepers Kitchen & Bar, and meeting facilities. We are located just moments from Junction 23 of the M5 and only 12 miles from Hinkley Point Power Station.

Job Scope
Under the general guidance and supervision of the Hotel Manager, directs Restaurant, Bar & Meeting rooms to ensure quality service and standards while delivering a guest experience that is unique. Ensure compliance with all governmental regulations concerning health, safety or other requirements.
Key Job Responsibilities
Revenue:
Effectively manage staffing costs by preparing efficient work scheduled in line with legal requirements
Develop departmental standards and procedures to promote sales and Beverage creativity and profit
In partnership with other department heads, identify additional sales opportunities to enhance revenue
Ensure all credit and financial transactions are handled in a secure manner
With the direction of the Operations Manager, co-ordinate the preparation of the departmental annual budget by monitoring and controlling the departmental operations, considering revenue and expenditure
On an on-going basis, control and analyse departmental costs to ensure performance against budget, implementing corrective measures where necessary to produce positive business results
People:
Direct day-to-day staffing requirements, plan and assign work and establish performance and development goals for team members. Provide mentoring, coaching and regular feedback to help manage conflict and improve team member performance
Educate and train all team members in compliance with governmental regulations. Ensure staff are properly trained in quality and service standards and have the tools and equipment to carry out job duties
Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other departments
Recommend andor initiate salary, disciplinary or other staffinghuman resources-related actions in accordance with company rules and policies
Work with the company's Culture Team to include planning for future staffing needs; recruitment in line with company guidelines; prepare detailed induction programmes for new staff; maintain a comprehensive, current and guest-focused set of departmental standards and procedures and oversee their implementation
Guest Experience:
Ensure that all Food and Beverage facilities and equipment are cleaned, vacuumed and properly stocked according to anticipated business volume. Notify Maintenance Team immediately of any maintenance and repair needs
Establish and achieve quality and guest satisfaction goals. Respond in a courteous and prompt manner to all guest questions, complaints andor requests to ensure a high level of guest satisfaction
Analyse guest insights to identify and meet customer expectations and build on guest loyalty
Interact with guests to ensure expectations are being met
Appreciate the dynamic nature of the hotel industry and extend these service attributes to all internal customers
Maintain a high level of product and service knowledge about all Cycas hotels & Marriott hotels in your region
Responsible Business:
Manage local Food and Beverage marketing programmes for the hotel; participate in and maintain system-wide Food and Beverage marketing programmes and promotions. Monitor local competitors and industry trends
Ensure security and proper storage of Food and Beverage products, inventory and equipment and replenish supplies in a timely and efficient manner while minimising waste
Perform other duties as assigned. May also serve as a manager on duty
WHAT YOU SHOULD BRING
Restaurant & Bar management experience, preferably in hotel environment, but not essential
3 year's previous experience of a managementsupervisory role in F&B preferable
