Food and Beverage Manager - Merthyr Tydfil Leisure Centre - Merthyr Tydfil

Job Type: Full Time - Permanent

We are on the lookout for a Food and Beverage Manager  inspired by a fast-paced performance driven culture. This role will be instrumental in  leading and driving our Hospitality services within our new  Merthyr Tydfil Partnership, with three Food and Beverage outlets under your care, at Merthyr and Aberfan Leisure Centre and Cyfarthfa Park Canolfan.

Working in leisure is anything but leisurely especially at Halo -  an award winning social enterprise, registered charity and leading leisure trust operating 25 facilities across Herefordshire, Bridgend County, Merthyr Tydfil, Gloucestershire, Shropshire and Wiltshire.

Salary circa £28770.00 per annum, hybrid working - mixture of home and onsite working within the partnership. 

We are looking for someone with a passion for the highest hospitality standards, leading and managing the Food and Beverage teams in delivering the experience our customers will expect. 

As part of the Senior team within the partnership, you will bring proven hospitality experience, innovation and fresh perspective. Ambitious and highly motivated, you will thrive working in a dynamic and diverse environment and have a personal commitment in supporting Halo Leisure and our partners in Merthyr Tydfil to achieve the mission of ‘Creating Healthier Communities.’

With us you’ll have the chance to grow the commercial success of our Food and Beverage business and you will be committed to maintain all financial and operational targets with an emphasis on forward planning. 

You will proactively drive positive employee relations, sustainability and health and safety throughout the hospitality offer.

  • Show a proven track record of successful establishment, leadership and direction of a Food and Beverage service and the team. 
  • Possess a strong drive for growth and commercial success of a Food and Beverage service across a range of performance indicators.
  • Work well under pressure, whilst maintaining a positive can do attitude.
  • Inspire, develop and retain a team through presence, influence and effective communication.
  • Committed to a collaborative approach.
  • All new applicants are required to complete a 10 hour online Welsh Work Course. You will need to complete parts 1 and 2 of the course and must be able to evidence this prior to starting work with the Authority.
