SalaryThe National Trust is renowned for its food and hospitality. We run 185 cafes, tea-rooms and restaurants all over England, Wales and Northern Ireland, and we'd love you to join us as a Food & Beverage Team Member.
In this role, you’d be making a real difference to the work of the National Trust, as well as helping to give people a memorable day out.

- Hours: 37.5 hours per week, 5 days out of 7. Typically between 9.00am and 4.30pm/5.30pm Weekends, Bank Holidays and school holidays required.

The role is based at Chartwell, however, you may also be required to work at Emmetts Garden. Therefore, a valid driving licence may be beneficial.
Chartwell is the former home of Winston Churchill. The rooms of the house remain much as they were when he lived there, with pictures, books, and personal mementoes. The hillside gardens reflect his love of landscape and nature, they include the lakes he created, the kitchen garden and the Marycot, a playhouse designed for his youngest daughter.
Situated inside of the car park, the café serves light lunches, one pot meals, cakes and bakes. As well as this, hot and cold drinks are available with ice cream being served in the summer.

What you'll be doing As a Team Member, your main focus will be front of house, dealing directly with people. You’ll welcome and look after everyone who comes to the café. With your love of working with people, your ‘can-do’ attitude and your desire to provide an outstanding service, you’ll be making sure everyone has an enjoyable time. This is a lively business that’s constantly on the go, so teamwork and adaptability are crucial.You’ll be keen to understand what people want, to help them and to make recommendations. And you’ll always keep the standards of food and drink preparation and presentation high. Using your excellent eye for detail, you’ll make sure all displays and signs are accurate and looking good. At times, you may need to help the kitchen team with preparing food.
We’ll give you an induction that fits the job, and training in allergens and food safety, plus any mentoring needed to help you in your role. You can sign up for further professional training and development if you wish. Who we're looking for No experience is needed, but we’d love to hear from you if you’re:
