Food and Drink Assistants
Location: Dudley
Contract: Casual (Flexible hours)
Hours: Between 8.00 am – 11.00 pm (weekend work required)
Pay rate: £11.45 per hour


The Black Country Living Museum is seeking visitor-focused Food and Drink Assistants to join the Team. This is an exciting opportunity to join the Museums front line, where you’ll help visitors transcend into the past by creating a seamless customer service experience.


What are the duties?

  • Positive and inclusive over-the-counter customer service.
  • Preparing and serving food and drink in compliance with Museum standards.
  • Handing cash/ card payments and operating tills.
  • Monitoring and replenishing stock.
  • Maintaining the highest standard of hygiene and health & safety.
  • Supporting during Museum events.


What are we looking for?

  • Respectful and confident people skills.
  • Enthusiasm and or experience in offering high-level customer service.
  • Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexible approach to work and hours of work.
  • Confident IT Skills and or experience of EPOS.
  • A willingness to undertake Food Safety (Level 2), Health and safety (Level 2), and Barista Training.
