Food Service Sales Assistant / Trainee

The Employer is: BETHANY FRUIT MARKET. Bethany Fruit Market is seeking a dynamic and customer-focused Food Service Sales Assistant to join our team. This position offers a unique opportunity to work closely with some of the most exciting food businesses in Belfast, managing orders, building relationships, and ensuring excellent service delivery. .

Customer Service: Exceptional interpersonal skills to build and maintain strong relationships with customers, understanding their needs and providing excellent service.

Sales Techniques: Ability to effectively promote products, upsell, and negotiate to achieve sales targets.

Product Knowledge: Thorough understanding of the company's products, including features, benefits, and pricing, to confidently answer customer inquiries and make recommendations.

Order Management: Proficiency in handling customer orders accurately and efficiently, including creating delivery notes and managing invoicing systems (e.g., Xero, Tapa POS).

Organizational Skills: Strong organizational abilities to manage multiple orders and tasks simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and customer satisfaction.

Communication Skills: Clear and concise communication skills, both verbal and written, to communicate with customers, colleagues, and suppliers effectively.

Problem-Solving: Ability to resolve customer issues and complaints promptly and professionally, maintaining a positive customer experience.

Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy objects as required in a shop environment and delivery of produce.

Tech Savvy: Comfortable using software systems for order management, invoicing, and customer relationship management (CRM), with a willingness to learn new tools and technologies.

Teamwork: Collaborative mindset to work effectively with colleagues in sales, operations, and other departments to ensure seamless customer service and fulfillment.

Adaptability: Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and customer demands in a fast-paced environment, with a proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
