Job description

Key Duties
  • Assist one of our Academy teams, competing & training at a high level in competitive league football.
  • Assist and lead a number of sessions as part of our Schools programme.
  • Create and maintain positive relationships with multiple stakeholders (parents, partners and venues).
  • Opportunity to have a direct impact on the improvement of the programme (quality of coaching, innovative ideas etc).
  • Report to Central Regional Lead for off pitch duties.

At Bloomsbury Football Foundation you will work towards your L2 Community Activator Coach apprenticeship Qualification over the course of 12-18 Months.

Desired Skills

This is an apprenticeship programme, designed to help you gain skills and experience ‘on the job.’ We aren’t looking for any previous coaching qualifications or experience but certain personal qualities and characteristics are a must: • Passion and enthusiasm for working with young people. • Ability to work in different settings and venues (schools and external venues) • Flexibility in working hours, which will include morning, afternoon and weekend work. • Seek to be proactive and to get involved with • Confidence to communicate effectively with young children, parents and stakeholders.

Personal qualities

You must be enthusiastic about wanting to work within the sport and physical activity sector and be committed to inspiring others to be more physically active.
No prior coaching experience is required, but a willingness to learn, work hard and challenge yourself is essential.

Qualifications required

No Qualifications Required, All Training will be provided.
Missed out on getting your Maths and English GCSE’s? Don’t worry- you can still apply but you will need to complete Functional Skills Level 2 before you finish the apprenticeship. Our Learning Coaches can support you with this so don’t let this put you off!

Our financial assistance model means that no one is turned away, and we cater to young people aged between 18 months to 18 years old. Everyone is welcome, regardless of ability to pay or play.
