Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a football League Manager. As the football League Coordinator , you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our Football Leagues, ensuring smooth and successful seasons for all participants. This isa 5 hours a week position with opportunities for growth and advancement.
Responsibilities:
- Facilitate the onboarding process for teams participating in the 8-aside league.
- Coordinate with referees to ensure officiation of matches and schedule their shifts.
- Manage MatchDay payment transactions and communicate with teams regarding outstanding debts.
- Oversee all communications with teams and captains, including through platforms like WhatsApp.
- Cultivate a new community of enthusiastic young players interested in 8-aside football.
- Record and update MatchDay results, as well as maintain the league table using Canva.
- Provide weekly updates to teams regarding match results and other league-related matters.
- Engage with stakeholders, including management, to share league updates and seek feedback.
- Confirm venue bookings for matches and ensure logistical arrangements are in place.
- Develop a long-term league vision plan, including scoping out potential expansions.
- Ensure presence during MatchDays to facilitate venue opening and closure, as well as manage equipment such as balls and bibs.
Requirements:
- Avaible on Most Sundays from 1:30pm to 4pm
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and manage various responsibilities simultaneously.
- Experience in sports administration or event coordination preferred.
- Familiarity with platforms like Canva for graphic design tasks.
- Enthusiasm for fostering community engagement and promoting youth participation in sports.
