Foreman – Rail

We are working with our client, Taylor Woodrow, to hire a Foreman (rail).
Taylor Woodrow is the sole provider of Lot 3 - Western Geotechnical Off-Track and Drainage - as part of Network Rail Wales and Western region’s £2bn programme of works.
The Lot stretches from London Paddington to Penzance and involves the ongoing maintenance & renewals programme of civil engineering assets such as embankments, cuttings, scour protection, and earthworks drainage.
As part of this project, we are currently looking to recruit a Site Forman with Rail Experience to be based out of the Bristol area to work on a number of schemes.
Duties:
- Ensure safety compliance, quality and productivity are being achieved by the site team.
- Sub contractor management.
- Ensure the works are being constructed in line with the approved design and specifications, track changes to the programme, raise Technical Queries, Early Warnings, attend design meetings, attend client meetings such as; progress & commercial meetings.
- Work with Commercial team to update cost forecasts and assist with Compensation Events.
- Ensure materials are ordered in time.
- Ensure that accurate and quality records are being completed.
Person Specification
- Previous experience gained as a Foreman in a rail environment
- COSS is essential
- Network Rail experience
- HNC/HND in civil engineering or equivalent
- SMSTS
- Knowledge of the Wester Rail Route would be advantageous
