Your new company is a rapidly expanding building & civil engineering contractor based in Co. Down, who now require a Foreman for commercial works in Co. Antrim. With an operational history of over 35 years, the company has evolved into a multidisciplined contractor offering design & build, civil engineering and project management services within the private and public commercial, refurbishment and maintenance sectors. With a busy orderbook for 2024, the company have continued to expand and now require a Foreperson to join the team on a contract based in Co. Antrim.
Your new role
Due to new opportunities within the business and a busy orderbook this year, the company welcomes you as Site Foreperson, responsible for the supervision of construction teams on various refurbishment, renovation & maintenance schemes within the commercial sectors primarily based in South Antrim. Your role will involve the supervision & organisation of site teams to ensure the smooth running of projects to the quality required from the client and to the highest standards of health and safety. You will be responsible for the completion of assigned tasks, coordinating all available resources effectively and safely, ensuring the workload is completed within schedule. The initial project will be a Commercial Refurbishment in South Antrim, due to run until the end of summer.
What you'll need to succeed
As a successful Site Foreman, you will have previous experience in a site supervisory role, preferably coming from a trades background. Previous experience managing refurbishment, extension and commercial schemes is essential. You must be CSR (Site Supervisor), CSCS or SMSTS certified. As this is an imminent requirement in the next few weeks, you will be immediately available or soon to be available/finishing up a current project. You must have a proven track record of delivering refurbishment schemes, with a knowledge of minor civils and externals packages.
