An exciting opportunity has opened for Forge Production Operators (Stampers) on a permanent basis.
Our client who is based in Cradley Heath has been established for 100+ years and is the world leader in rigging, lifting and material handling hardware. Who have set the standard for quality, training, and technical expertise in their field.
The main objective of the Forge Production Operator role is to carry out production duties and support the team to meet the hourly and daily Forge Production quantities, maintaining a safe and clean working environment.
Hours of work are Monday to Thursday 7am to 4.30pm, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break each day (36 hours in total).

Main Tasks:
- Carry out all Forge Production Operator duties
- Ensure hourly and daily Forge Production quantities achieved
- Ensure Forge Production output is respecting all quality and technical requirements
- Respect company safety and ergonomic rules at all times
- Conduct daily start up and closure checklists to ensure all safety and 5S requirements are in place
- Hourly update of the hammer data collection sheet recording billet count achievement and lost time reasons
- Support hour by hour and day by day forge planned production adjustments
- Support the die changeover process (as required) and ensure all standards are respected according to the quality and efficiency target.
- Daily cleaning and 1st level maintenance of all machinery
- Fork lift truck and crane operation (as required)
- Attendance at the daily meeting
- Support the company Continuous Improvement program at all times
Required Skills:
- Experience working within a forge
- Demonstrated stamping skills
- Fork lift truck licence
- Must be physically able to meet the physical demands of the role
