Newstaff Employment services are looking for an experienced warehouse/Fork Lift driver for our client in St Albans - AL3
Ideally, looking for someone local to the area unless they are able to drive/commute with ease to the warehouse.
Job description
Requirements and skills:
- Driving licence and transport (important)
- Familiarity with modern warehousing practices and methods
- Good organisational and time management skills
- Ability to lift heavy objects
- Not required but would be great if they have a forklift licence
Responsibilities:
- Cutting and loading carpets/flooring materials
- Ensuring that all goods that are loaded or unloaded match the relevant paperwork
- Keeping the warehouse environment clean and tidy and maintaining equipment
- Reporting any damaged or missing goods to Warehouse Managers or Supervisors
- Stock counting and location checks
- Communicate and cooperate with supervisors and coworkers
- Operate and maintain preventively warehouse vehicles and equipment
- Following workplace health and safety rules when handling goods
Job Type: Permanent, Full-time
Salary: £22,000 / £24, 000
20 days paid holiday plus bank holidays
