GBP32,250.09 per annum plus shift allowance paid on a weekly basis when applicable
Our client is a world leading, manufacturing company based in Leamington Spa. They specialise in heavy duty vehicles and are looking for a Forklift Driver/Paint Sprayer to join their team on a permanent basis
As a Forklift Driver/Paint Sprayer you will be responsible for working in the Paint shop, moving parts into the shot blast and paint line using a Gas Counterbalance Forklift truck and also paint preparation, masking, spray painting and ensuring the application of primer and topcoat are flawless. This is a varied and challenging position for the successful candidate, which will draw from a broad range of skills including problem solving, multitasking, teamwork, and attention to detail.
The successful Forklift Driver/Paint Sprayer would ideally have experience within a manufacturing, engineering, or Automotive environment and have an external Gas Counterbalance licence that has recently been refershed and able to work under pressure and to achieve tight deadlines.
Forklift Driver/Paint Sprayer Role & Responsibilities:
- Using a Forklift Truck moving panels and components into the shot blast and paint line
- Preparation of panels for painting including prime, prep and masking
- Paint spraying using 2K and polyurethane paint to the required quality standard.
- Adjust and maintain spray equipment.
- Prepare jigs and fixtures.
- Clean out spray booths.
- Flattening, polishing, and mopping.
- Ensure all parts and panels are audited with relevant sign off.
Forklift Driver/Paint Sprayer - Key Skills Required:
- Must have an external Gas Counterbalance licence recently refreshed
- Must have Forklift driving experience
- Paint Spraying experience within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to create a flawless finish.
- Willingness to work alone or as part of a team.
- Time management and organisation skills
- Knowledge and practical understanding of H&S, C.O.S.H and environmental procedures
- Flexibility to work overtime as and when required
