Position: Forklift Driver/Warehouse Operative
Duration: Temporary with potential for permanent placement
Location: Orton Southgate, Peterborough.
Hours: Monday - Friday 9am-5.30pm
Pay Rate: £12.50PH
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts and related equipment to efficiently load, unload, and move materials within the warehouse.
- Perform routine equipment inspections, address minor maintenance tasks, and ensure optimal equipment performance.
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and maintain a secure working environment
- Pick and pack orders with accuracy and attention to detail
- Wrapping pallets & using scan guns
- Assist in keeping the warehouse clean and organised
Experience:
- Valid Counterbalance Certificate and demonstrated experience operating forklifts in a warehouse setting
- Sound understanding of warehouse operations and inventory management practices
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with colleagues and supervisors
- Physical capability to lift and move heavy materials as required
