SalaryWe are looking for a full time Fort Lift Truck Driver to join the team at our Horizon Warehouse, located on Buttermilk Lane, Bolsover, Chesterfield. This position will be Monday to Friday, with an alternate shift pattern, 6am to 2pm and 2pm to 10pm (with 30 mins for lunch).
Forklift Truck (FLT) Driver will primarily be responsible of all MHE equipment within the Warehouse and to operate MHE to move materials within the warehouse, manufacturing facility, or other work sites. There is a requirement for previous experience operating MHE with in a fast-paced environment.
This role will include:
- Safely and efficiently operating a forklift to move materials and products within the work site.
- Load and unload materials from trucks, pallets, racks, and other storage areas as directed by our Digitised WCS and WMS platforms via the drivers RF terminal.
- Follow safety guidelines and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Maintain the forklift and perform routine inspections to ensure it is in good working condition.
- Keep accurate records of inventory movements and transactions.
- Assist with other warehouse tasks as needed, such as packing, labeling, and organizing materials.
The ideal candidate will:
- Hold a valid forklift certification/license.
- Have proven experience operating a forklift in a warehouse or manufacturing setting.
- Have knowledge of safety procedures and guidelines for operating a forklift.
- Have the ability to lift heavy objects and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Have good communication skills and ability to work well in a team.
- Have attention to detail and accuracy in completing tasks.
- Have flexibility to move working hours as the demand of inbound deliveries dictates.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with different types of forklifts (e.g., counterbalance, reach truck, pallet jack).
- Experience working with inventory management systems.
- OSHA certification for forklift operation.
Working Conditions:
- The job may require standing, walking, and lifting for extended periods.
- Exposure to loud noises, moving machinery, and varying temperatures in a warehouse environment.
