The FPGA Design Engineer will:
Contribute to and lead the design, development, integration and testing as required by the project within the knowledge and experience required.Produce high-quality supporting design documentation.Contribute expertise across a broad range of design activities.Develop innovative and cutting-edge solutions.The FPGA Design Engineer will be responsible to:Undertake engineering design and development activities in time, on budget and in quality.Provide timely and accurate estimates of effort to completion, assessing complexity, and identifying risks.Engage with other technical experts.Provide technical support to the Technical Lead (e.g., risk management, input to customer meetings).Proactively communicate and collaborate with each of the stakeholder, within or outside the project team.Comply with the client's policies effectively.Comply with the the client's design and development processes as directed by the Technical Lead of the project.Apply industry best practice for source code control, build, test/troubleshooting (debugging/fault finding), and distribution. The FPGA Design Engineer has more than 10-year of experience in the DSP algorithm development and FPGA system design & development for projects using VHDL, preferably on Xilinx Zynq.Essential Skills:Expertise in DSP algorithm modelling for RF systemsExpertise in FPGA design for DSPExpertise of FPGA design to control ADC/DACExpertise in interfacing FPGA with high-speed digital dataExpertise of Embedded C/C++Desirable Knowledge:Knowledge of radio systemsKnowledge of one or more defence disciplines, such as Electronic Warfare, Signals Intelligence, Radar, or GNSS.Experience of Python in the use of test scripts and/or post-data processingOpenCPI open-source software framework
