  • Deliver verified and tested VHDL firmware code that meets specified functionality and performance requirements.

  • Identify and address hardware and firmware issues in electronic systems, providing comprehensive reports on root causes, issue resolution, and procedural changes to mitigate future problems.

  • Create high-quality documentation for VHDL firmware code and FPGA designs, including specifications, verification & validation reports, and production test documentation.

  • Support the production team by troubleshooting issues and ensuring electronic systems meet performance requirements during production.

  • Utilize standard laboratory instrumentation such as oscilloscopes and logic analyzers to debug and verify live hardware.

  • Showcase expertise in version control, change control, and bug tracking tools/systems.

Skills & Experience Required:

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • A degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering or a related field, with a minimum of 5 years' experience in FPGA development.

  • Proven experience with FPGA technologies from various vendors, including Xilinx and Lattice, and proficiency with their related toolchains.

  • Experience with typical serial interfaces such as SPI, I2C, UART, RS232/485, CAN, etc.

  • Familiarity with high-speed serial interfaces and protocols, including USB, Ethernet, TCP/IP, UDP, sFPDP, and Aurora.

Language skills:

  • Ability to effectively communicate in the English language, both verbally and in writing
