This is a strategic role and would see the right candidate formulating a pursuit strategy for identified and targeted UK public sector Frameworks. They will be expected to lead internal stakeholder engagement, qualifying with Softcat's Senior Sales Leadership what the right Framework pursuit targets should be. They will be responsible for resource planning to ensure adequate resource is aligned and available for pursuit objectives. This is a player/manager role so the candidate would be expected to be an experienced subject matter expert and have accomplished bid writing skills. Continuous team development is seen as a role focus, so an ability to deliver this practically. The role will have ultimate accountability for the successful acquisition and retention of key frameworks through the production of high-quality bid responses as well as coordinating the commercial approach.

You will work closely with the Head of Capture & Bids to organise and set the strategy for bid applications and planning capacity with a focus on: increasing Softcat's addressable markets, retaining existing markets and continuously improving the quality of bid submissions.
There is also the opportunity to participate in and/or lead on more strategic (non-Framework) opportunity pursuits or bids.
As Frameworks Manager, you'll be responsible for:
- Establishing a strong network of internal senior stakeholders to successfully deliver against the critical elements of the role.
- Developing a team of bid managers and writers to identify and secure bids
- Organising and agreeing the Framework pursuit strategy with the Head of Capture & Bids
- Coordinating the commercial strategy for individual frameworks and owning the outcome.
- Creating a strategy to raise the quality of bid submissions and challenges
We'd love you to have
- 3+ years of experience in a bid-related role in private or public sector.
- 2 years of experience in a management position related to procuring Frameworks.
- Demonstrable experience in building a successful framework response team.
