Main Duties
This is an exciting role for a creative individual passionate about contemporary art and entrepreneurship.
- Research the best contemporary art practices and scout emerging artists
- Build a strong roaster of artists and onboard artists to the platform
- Develop and manage artist relationships; analyse and keep their profiles up to date
- Plan, organise and manage exceptional art events with confidence and strong artist knowledge
- Write outstanding editorial content, as well as content for the artwork, artist and event pages
- Plan, create and track email marketing campaigns
- Create and manage a monthly content plan for all the social media sites
- Engage with the community, monitor and respond to comments on the social media posts
- Develop relationships with universities, residencies, museums and other institutions
- Strive for 100% artist satisfaction
- Create KPIs and a rigorous measurement process to analyse and improve performance across channels
Skills and Experience Required
- Deep knowledge of international contemporary art scene
- Great eye for talent spotting and strong curatorial skills
- Exceptional interpersonal and written communication skills; editorial level English
- Excellent organisational and planning skills, coupled with the ability to work calmly under pressure and to tight deadlines
- Ability to coordinate multiple projects, people, and monitor budgets
- Goal-oriented, proactive approach; anticipate issues, find effective solutions and meet the targets
- A mix of creative and analytical approach to exhibition and event creation; confidence in developing ideas independently as well as part of a team – High degree of computer literacy
- Experience in working with diverse social media platforms
- Middleweight industry experience within a gallery, museum, or educational institution is a plus
