Job description

Main Duties

Narduca, concept outwear and leather luxury goods is looking for experienced student Pattern Cutterfor Leather material and apparel design. You will work alongside our team to achieve desired patterns and desired garment fit for our sample piece. You will measure and evaluate the sample to ensure it meets brand fit specifications and communicates the pattern and fit changes to our team to prepare for production.

You must be willing to sign our confidentiality and work agreement before starting as these are our original designs that have not been released yet. This is a paid freelance opportunity to work with a new brand launching during fashion week.

MUST HAVE

· Using Various techniques to create your patterns, including draping, fabric manipulation and flat pattern making

. Ability to create manual first patterns

. Create patterns from our measurements following design, illustrations or photographs

. Ability to work from spec sheet comments and follow through each action point to finalised patterns for grading and bulk production.

· Proactive in process change and issue resolution

· Proficiency in computer software programs specific to Pattern making design software and proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite

. Demonstrates high degree of professionalism in communication

Skills and Experience Required

  • Demonstrate knowledge of pattern development and sewing processes as they pertain to garment production and labor constraints
  • Thorough understanding of fit as it relates to pattern changes
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on maintaining quality standards
  • Knowledge of supply chain and global business process orientation, including knowledge of textile and apparel development, manufacturing, and performance
  • Strong understanding of quality assurance testing protocols and industry standards for lab tests and ability to make judgments and risk assessments based on the test and fabric specifications
  • Ability to handle complex troubleshooting with regards to textile performance and manufacturing issues and provide effective direction to factories
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Proficient with drawing tools
  • Proficiency in computer software programs specific to Pattern making design software and proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
