Freelance General Foreman

Elvet Recruitment are recruiting for a skilled General Foreman on behalf of a leading construction and demolition contractor for a multi million pound scheme based in the Tyne & Wear region.

This is an excellent opportunity with up to 12 months work for one single site, based in the North East.

Projects: Drainage, structures, general civils etc.

Duties/Responsibilities include:

• Assisting Manager (Site Agent) in delivery of schemes.
• Daily briefings with staff on site.
• Delivering HSE toolbox talks.
• Overseeing gangs on the ground in daily delivery of work.
• Monitoring H&S with audits.
• Assist with supply chain & sub-contractor management.
• Plant checks & permits for workforce.

Experience required:

• Must have experience working as General Foreman on varied civil engineering / infrastructure projects.
• Must have experience delivering: full road construction, deep drainage, structures, RC works etc.
• Must hold: PTS, CSCS, SMSTS or SSSTS, First Aid and full driving license.
• Beneficial: NRSWA, Temporary Works, Appointed Person etc.

Remuneration:

A competitive day rate will be on offer for candidates matching the business criteria
