Freight Account Manager

Main Duties will include:

• Identify and contact potential new customers
• Maintain a database of prospects
• Maintain and develop existing accounts
• Deal with the coordination & shipping of freight (Land, Air or Sea)
• Cold calling, lead generation & customer appointments
• Handle all operational aspects of import and export movements.
• Process bookings from customer by phone/email
• Knowledge of your own hauliers will be a great advantage
• Request customs clearance of both export and import shipments 
• Build and maintain a good working relationship with customers and suppliers.

Experience Required

• Freight Forwarding experience essential
• Self-motivated & driven to drive business forward
• Knowledge of Import & Export procedures / processes
• Proven experience of rate negotiation with both clients and third parties
• Proven experience of working in a targeted environment
• Competent decision making
• Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
