Freight Imports Administrator - Part Time

Our client is one of the UK's largest electrical installation equipment manufacturing & supply companies. Operating its manufacturing, logistics & commercial activities via three sites in the UK.
We are now looking for a Part time - 28 hours a week Senior Imports Administrator to be based from home
This role is offered on an initial 1 years contract however chances the role will be extended or made permanent is highly likely
Your role will involve...
The processing of Import goods from overseas vendors mainly be sea Freight Imports
Uploading of Vendor shipment information into Shipment Manager
Supplying customs clearance information to clearance agents
Arranging delivery slots for containers into warehouse
Obtaining quotes for any Airfreights.
Communications with vendors regarding shipment paper work.
Uploading Shipment information into system
Arranging import documents to import agents
Sorting any shipment delays and scheduling of container receipts
Communications with other departments mainly goods inwards
In order to apply you will have experience in Ocean and Air Freights imports
Knowledge of customs clearance and commodity codes
Full understanding of shipping inco terms
SAP Systems an advantage

Pro rata £23,500 Part Time -the full time salary is £30,500
