Position: Restaurant Floor Manager

You will collaborate closely with the team to enhance guest satisfaction and foster a culture of ongoing improvement. Key requirements for this position include excellent communication skills, a customer-centric mindset, and the capacity to cultivate positive relationships.Operational Management:Manage and oversee the restaurant for smooth service.Apply up-selling techniques to boost revenue.Handle guest complaints professionally and follow hotel procedures.Create, implement and ensure adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and standards.Ensure compliance with all regulatory controls, including UK laws, health, safety, sanitation, and alcohol awareness standards.Perform daily Restaurant walkthroughs and report issues to the F&B Manager.Collaborate with the Chef to refine restaurant and room service menus.Oversee minibar operations.Participate in weekly meetings with the senior management team.Assist in operational service demands.Greet hotel guests and VIPs.Coordinate and introduce training requirements.Conduct regular staff tastings to ensure the team has perfect knowledge and understanding of the menus.Managing Financial Performance:Prepare weekly Sales Reports and Cost of Sales Report.Meet budgeted cost of sales guidelines.Stay updated on industry best practices and competitors offeringsUse key performance indicators and financial targets for evaluation.Analyse financial information to support decision-making.Assist in revenue and cost forecasting.Control costs without compromising standards.Operate the department efficiently and strive for financial improvement.Compile departmental forecasts and budgets on time, ensuring targets are met.Stay updated on GDPR regulations and ensure compliance in handling personal data.Managing Health and Safety:Ensure team members in assigned departments adhere to security, health, and safety regulations.Follow fire instructions during emergencies and ensure team members are trained accordingly.Overall responsibility for health and safety within assigned departments.Attend statutory training and keep operations informed of legislative changes.Recruitment, Staffing, and Team Development:Develop and execute recruitment, training, and team growth strategies.Meet staffing needs, plan for growth, and explore opportunities.Provide coaching, training, and development for staff.Improve team performance while maintaining morale and productivity.Conduct regular performance reviews and conflict resolution.Ensure service standards align with SOP manuals through training and updates.What are we looking for?Minimum 1 years experience in a similar role within a luxury property (opening experience is highly desirable)Has excellent knowledge of wines and champagneHas strong upselling skillsHas customer service know-how and thrives on creating unique experiencesHas an outgoing and unique personality who prefers to stay in the outlets and interact with staff and customers alikeExcellent and personable presentation is keyContinually review staff performance and test their product knowledgeAbility to speak and write French is desirableA self-starter who is creative, highly driven and results orientated and has the ability to be proactive and reactive to both anticipated and sudden changesStrong work ethic, agility, and clarity of thought, with the ability to complete tasks and meet deadlines under pressure, despite interruptions.Who are we?We are a 5-star luxury lifestyle boutique hotel located in the heart of Chelsea.
