Class Act Teaching Services are currently looking for a French Teacher to work full time in a Specialist Provision School in Oxford. The role is initally on a supply basis, however the school are looking to make the position permanent for a French Teacher who can make a positive impact on the school.
This Specialist SEND Provision School aims to support every student in the school to develop positive behaviours that can enable the students to succeed not only within school but in later life as well. The School have a curriculum based not only on a student’s academic achievements, but also the development of students as well rounded individuals.
Role of a French Teacher:
- Strong knowledge of the KS3 and KS4 MFL curriculum
- Organised and professional maintenance of the classroom and the associated resources
- Work effectively with other members of staff, both within the department and throughout the school
- Ability to assess students, monitor their progress, and provide constructive feedback
- Able to plan and deliver engaging and comprehensive lessons and tailor them to the students in the class
- Compliance with the schools’ policies and the reliable implementation of these
Requirements of a French Teacher:
- Hold QTS or an equivalent qualification for teaching in secondary school
- Have recent mainstream or SEND school-based experience teaching as a French Teacher
- Have a good level of classroom and behaviour management
- A relevant French or MFL related degree is desirable.
- SEND experience is desirable
