Fresh Produce Order Picker & Delivery Driver

K.D.Davis & Sons (The Greengrocers) are a Fourth Generation Family Greengrocers supplying Fresh Produce to Local Residential Homes, Hotels, Schools and Restaurants.

We are looking for an energetic Order Picker to ensure the accurate and time sensitive delivery of our Fresh Produce. You will operate in our warehouse to carefully pick and pack our customers orders. The successful candidate will be picking orders for a broad range of customers including Individual Households, Restaurants, Schools and Hotels. Our Delivery Drivers are the day to day face of our family business, the successful candidate will get the opportunity to meet different customers either at their homes or Chefs in their kitchens. This role is about much more than just driving: it's about helping others and delivering great service, with a smile.

Vacant Position:

3am - Finish (Average 10 to 11am) > Tuesday - Saturday

The job is very hands on and full of variety. The position involves some heavy lifting. You'll be delivering to our customers homes or to chefs kitchens. You’ll meet great people, learn new things and be part of a small family team where everyone is welcome.

What we expect from our team:

- Dedicated Quality Control and rotation of incoming produce.
- Pick orders according to quantity, size etc. Ensuring accuracy and common sense packing.
- Build pallets with orders and position them in the loading area.
- Shrink Wrap pallet orders before loading on to our vans.
- Re-stock inventory manually, Lifting up to 25kg sacks of potatoes.
- Load your van where required and do regular daily checks to make sure it’s road worthy and safe.
- Keep your vehicle clean and tidy on a daily basis.
- Represent our family business with the up most respect whilst on the roads.
- Drive safely, responsibly and within the law.
- Passionate about delivering great customer service.
- Presentable, Friendly, approachable and reliable is absolute necessary!
- Able to adapt to working in a fast paced, constantly evolving environment.
- Adhere to the GB Domestic Driving Rules A UK/EU/EEA Driving licence (Full only) for at least 3 years with no more than 3 penalty points.
- Should you be successful in your application, your offer will be subject to standard DBS check.
