We have a great opportunity for an experienced road freight administrator to join a leading freight forwarding logistics business in Northampton. You will be responsible for maintaining customer accounts and ensuring a high level of service.
Key Duties:
- Proactively making first contact with potential customers
- Maintaining and regularly updating the customer database.
- Developing relationships with customers to encourage growth to your customer base and increasing the profit margin for your branch.
- Using sales management system to input customer details and carry out sales tasks.
- Sales Reporting using company software.
- Both searching for possible tenders and progressing with current tenders.
- Communicate with all members of staff at all levels.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Good Communication skills both written and verbal.
- Experience in road freight operations is essential.
- Good understanding of customer deliverables and the impact of failure / cost of poor
- Quality.
- Admin and Sales Support experience.
- Forward thinking and proactive.
