A position has become available at the Holiday Inn Newport, we are looking for a hardworking individual to join a really friendly and welcoming Front Office Team. Flexibility is required. 3 to 5 shifts over 7 on a rota basis
DUTIES INCLUDE:
- Welcome guests in a friendly, prompt and professional manner recognising all IHG Rewards Club Members and returning guests.
- Check guests in, issue room keys, provide information on hotel services and room location, making sure all IHG Brand Standard points are covered during the check in procedure.
- Where possible to maximise hotel revenue
- Answer, record and process all guest calls, messages, requests, questions or concerns
- Record guest preferences in the system
- Check guests out, including resolving any late or disputed charges
- Accurately process all cash and credit card transactions using established procedures
- Issue, control and release guest safe-deposit boxes in line with hotel procedures
- Communicate any outstanding guest requests or issues to management that may require additional monitoring or follow-up
- Take action to solve guest problems and complaints using appropriate service recovery guidelines
- Follow established hotel safety protocols and procedures at all times. Immediately report any health and safety incident, security breaches, concerns or suspicious behaviour to the supervisor or the manager on duty
- Daily dialogue with the reservations team to get an understanding on the Hotels availability and Arrivals for each day.
- Reporting directly back to the Front Office Manager with any day to day queries etc.
