We are very strong on data, and its importance, but if you don’t get the user interface right, no-one will use your service, so your role is super-important. Making sure that web-pages are performant, stable, work across many browsers, are reliable, have great data validation, and give good errors messages, makes all the difference to average software versus great software. You will need to collaborate with many cross-functional teams, because you don’t write the front-end in isolation. You love thinking about load-times and performance across millions of users, security, and you may well have an eye for good user design.

- Develop and maintain web pages in HTML that are user-friendly, fast loading, secure, that people just love. Ideally, this is not your only skillset

- Able to collaborate with back-end developers
- Brilliant at writing functional requirements and documentation, maybe even user-guides
- Able to mock-up / prototypes things efficiently
- You have an eagle eye, and a solid process to ensure brand guidelines are always maintained
Qualifications and Skills
- Honestly, we prefer people with a specific degree or equivalent qualification in software engineering, but don’t be shy to apply if you don’t have this. Some of the best people didn’t study Software Engineering at University
- You can translate designs and wireframes into high-quality code
- You have proven experience as a front-end developer, and almost certainly a lot of hands on experience with markup languages

- You know how to test and debug across a wide range of browsers
