The Ulster American Folk Park at Castletown, Omagh, Co Tyrone is an outdoor museum designed to tell the story of the great waves of emigrants who left Ulster for the New World in the 18th and 19th centuries and of the contribution they made to the USA throughout the whole period of its birth and development. Through its unique display of outdoor exhibits featuring many original buildings such as the ancestral homes of Thomas Mellon, John Joseph Hughes and Hugh and Robert Campbell, the Ulster American Folk Park depicts the varied aspects of emigrants’ life and experience on both sides of the Atlantic in the 18th and 19th centuries.
We are looking for someone to assist in the provision of efficient and effective information giving, ticketing and retail sales service to the users of the museum in the visitor information centre including museum admission point and shop. To provide all visitors to the Ulster American Folk Park with a high quality experience, creating a welcoming atmosphere and providing a high standard of customer care.
