Job description

CZN Burak Gurme is a well-established Restaurant franchise. Originating from Turkey by Chef Burak, who has become a global sensation due to his unique recipes of Turkish food and his captivating online presence. We are now excited to offer an opportunity to join our UK team as Hostess.

SCOPE:

To provide professional service to the guests, ensuring their restaurant visit will become a memorable dining experience.

GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POSITION:

1. Ensures exceptional dining experience by serving DRINKS, as well as food and beverages according to established menu and presentation.

2. Responsible for setting up tables, polishing glasses, folding napkins, replenishing condiments, and taking orders from the guests.

3. Monitors food distribution and ensures orders are delivered to the correct recipients and that guidelines such as those for special diets are followed.

4. Totals checks, presents it to the guests and accept payments.

5. Demonstrates full knowledge of the menu, specialties and current promotions in the restaurant.

6. Handles guests’ concerns professionally.

POSITION DESCRIPTION IN DETAIL:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Provide a warm welcome and fond farewell to the guests.

2. Greet guests according to the standards to ensure superior service.

3. Anticipate guest needs, ascertain satisfaction, and respond urgently and appropriately to guest concerns and requests.

4. Taking food and beverage orders and accurately entering them into the ordering system

5. Making menu item recommendations

6. Communicating any food allergy or special nutrition needs to kitchen staff

7. Ensuring all orders are filled quickly and accurately and that food is high quality

8. Providing attentive service to diners, like refilling drinks as needed and checking their needs during meals

9. Promptly addressing any customer service issues and referring to management if and when necessary

10. Setup the restaurant according to the table plan, coverlayout and standards defined

11. Train and supervise restaurant servers to give high standards of service in terms of time, quality and personalization

12. Report any theft or damages to the line manager.

13. Able to have a complete understanding of the Restaurant’s operating policies and procedures.

14. Able to maintain a good teamwork relationship with colleagues.

15. Able to always maintain a high standard of personal appearance and hygiene.

16. Monitor duty schedules for the respective team

17. Ensure the proper appearance and grooming of assigned employees.

Create an environment oriented to trust, open communication, creative thinking, and cohesive team effort & provide the team with a vision of the project objectives.

Motivate and inspire team members & lead by setting a good example.

Encourage creativity, risk-taking, and constant improvement, recognize and celebrate team member

Familiarize the team with the customer needs, specifications, design targets, the development process, design standards, techniques, and tools to support task performance.

Work with floor managers to obtain necessary resources to support the team's requirements.

OCCASIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Perform other related duties or assignments as directed by the Assistant Restaurant Manager.

LEGAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Ensuring that the standards required by Law and by the Management are maintained at all times in in the areas specified above.

2. Adhere to the company's policies and procedures.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

High school diploma/degree in the hospitality field with a maximum of two years experiences in a similar role

Team players, proactive in their duties who strive for career progression

A genuine passion and a keen interest in the hospitality industry

Great communication skills with a strong work ethic

Good knowledge of wines and other beverages

Well-presented and professional.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: £7.38-£10.42 per hour
