Taylor Root have partnered with a leading US law firm in their search for an experienced Financial Services (FS) Regulatory Solicitor to join on an initial 4-month FTC, based in the firms London office.
The Firm
Our client is considered a leading US law firm and have been recognized as “Firm of the Year” and has had back-to-back record increases in revenue and growth in the past five years. They are known to excel in specialist areas including finance/structured credit, corporate M&A, private/credit funds and private equity.
The Team
The firms FS Reg team sit within the wider corporate department and focus on helping regulated firms comply with evolving regulatory obligations. They have particular expertise in large cross border offerings and product design and regularly advise clients in relation with the U.K. regulators.
The Role
The successful candidate will be supporting on regulatory assistance with M&A transactions, specifically with UK and EU change in control applications, assisting with various FCA licensing/authorization applications (in various sectors including MiFID, Payments, Insurance and Crypto), advisory work for clients, analysing and advising on the application of FCA rules and providing draft advice on FCA supervisory related matters.
The Ideal Candidate
The firm are ideally looking for candidate who has upwards of 4 PQE experience however they recognize flexibility is key for this role. The successful candidate will have experience from another top 50 law firm in the City and will ideally be available at short notice.
