FTSE - Head of Ethics and Compliance

A listed company in the commodities space is seeking new a Head of Ethics and Compliance. This role will report directly into the Chief Risk & Compliance Officer and the main purpose will be to implement the Ethical Conduct code across the business.

This is a high-profile and front facing role within the organization requiring hybrid working between home and the London-based office. The successful candidate will be a Subject Matter Expert in Anti-Financial Crime, Anti-Bribery and corruption, Sanctions and Trade Restrictions and Human Rights.

Responsibilities:

• Take ownership of implementing new and continually developing existing Risk Registers concerning Ethics and Compliance
• Be responsible for third party due diligence of Ethics and Compliance matters
• Front the education of Ethics and Compliance matters across the business through workshops, recommendations and training
• Assess Compliance of internal procedures and standards as well as assessing partners and suppliers
• Develop and maintain key business relationships as the Subject Matter Expert for Ethics and Compliance

Requirements:

• Extensive prior experience in a multi-national organization working within Risk and Compliance
• Experience of taking ownership of third party Compliance issues, and when necessary relaying this to Senior Leadership and Board
• Demonstrable expertise in developing Compliance programmes incorporating Financial Crime
• Highly critical and logical thinker alongside strong interpersonal skills
