As we continue to expand our operations, we are seeking a driven and experienced individual to join our team as a Customer Fulfilment Manager Build & Technical Manager.

Job Description:

Purpose:
The Customer Fulfilment Manager Build & Technical Manager will take responsibility for ensuring a safe, efficient, and high-performing operation. This role involves overseeing complex builds, quality control testing, and operational planning to maximize resources and minimize costs while maintaining the highest standards of quality and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

Operational Development:

• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations to maintain a safe and organized Fulfilment Centre.
• Optimize efficiencies in the Fulfilment Centre to reduce costs and maximize capacity.
• Coordinate with supply chain management to ensure continuous availability of key ranges.
• Oversee testing procedures and detailed planning for upcoming deliveries.
• Manage processes such as powder coating and plate finishing to ensure availability and meet lead times.

Managing a Team:

• Provide leadership, direction, and support to the team to meet business objectives.
• Conduct regular meetings and appraisals to monitor individual performance and provide feedback.
• Manage day-to-day line management responsibilities including holiday approvals and dealing with absences.
• Support the health and wellbeing of team members and handle complex situations with HR support.

Working Hours:
8 hours/day with occasional Saturday availability (1 Saturday in 8 weeks, 8am - 12pm).

General Responsibilities:

• Communicate effectively and collaborate with team members.
• Maintain records and ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
• Pursue continuous professional development and uphold ethical and sustainable values.

Requirements:

• Attention to detail.
• Organized and structured approach.
• Process-oriented mindset.
• Competency in MS Office, particularly Excel.
• Management experience preferred.
• Weekend availability (Saturdays only).
• Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on team-building.

Our Team:
Our team consists of 6 members plus 1 casual worker, operating across 2 buildings:

• Build Room: Specializing in bespoke switches and sockets including engraving, with a focus on forward planning and control.
• Customized Lighting: Offering customizable lighting solutions with in-house builds and product alterations.
• Quality Control: Ensuring all deliveries meet set criteria and addressing any quality issues raised by customers.

Performance Indicators:

• Turnaround time for external coating.
• Build productivity.
• Number of build errors resulting in replacements/refunds.
• Resolution of parked orders same day.
• Budget management.
• Effective holiday planning with minimal impact on operations.
