We are looking for a skilled Full Stack Developer to help us continue our commitment to excellence and innovation.

As a part of our development team, you will work on developing, designing, and deploying applications for our customers.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain both front-end and back-end components of our sophisticated tracking and surveillance web applications.
  • Create intuitive and secure user interfaces that meet the specific needs of our customers.
  • Implement new features with a focus on real-time data processing.
  • Build reusable code and libraries for future use, ensuring robustness and security.
  • Optimise applications for maximum speed, efficiency, and scalability under high-load conditions.
  • Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders to accurately gather requirements and tailor solutions to specialised operational needs.
  • Design and implement secure, robust APIs to handle sensitive data securely.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code in compliance with strict industry standards for security and data protection.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues promptly, ensuring high availability and reliability of our applications.
  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies and advancements in the field of surveillance and data security, integrating innovative solutions where applicable.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in developing secure web applications, preferably in a field related to surveillance, security, or real-time data services.
  • Strong knowledge of Django, JavaScript, and other relevant technologies.
  • Commitment to producing high-quality code and an understanding of security compliance and best practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Formally recognised qualifications may put a candidate at an advantage.

Skills

  • Good experience with Cloud services, especially AWS.
  • Good experience of developing with secure by design principles.
  • Strong experience in unit testing.
  • Good experience in code management using tools such as GIT.
  • A keen eye for good user interface design and user experience.
  • Good experience with Python packages used for data science (familiarity with Pandas, Numpy, Scikit, Tensorflow).
  • Good knowledge of containerisation technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).

Security Clearance:

All applicants MUST be sole UK nationals. Applicants holding an existing UK MOD security clearance will be at an advantage. However, for any applicant without existing security clearance, the ability and willingness to obtain UK MOD Security Clearance or to have previously held security clearance, will be required.

Work Schedule:

Your normal hours of duty will consist of 40 hours per week.

Working hours are flexible between 08.00 to 18:00.
