Fullstack Developer (South Manchester, once a fortnight)

We have partnered with an exciting sustainability company that are on a mission to improve the future of commercial property energy-use and emissions. They are looking for an experienced Full Stack Developer, with the main skills being Golang and Azure.

Due to their sustainability and 'green' values, despite the infrequent travel to office, they would want applicants to live fairly locally to Cheshire/ South Manchester to reduce emissions!

Key Responsibilities:

• Crafting Solutions: Collaborating closely with our CTO and product manager, devise inventive answers to business challenges.
• • Steering Back-End Development: Take the helm in constructing and maintaining our cloud-based back-end systems, leveraging Microsoft Azure and the Go language. Proficiency in Cloud Platforms, particularly Azure, is a must.
• • Overseeing Databases: Lead the charge in designing, developing, and managing databases, with a keen focus on SQL Server or Azure SQL Database.
• • Front-End Development Involvement: Collaborate with our frontend engineer to contribute to the creation and upkeep of user interfaces, using HTML, CSS, ES6, and Typescript. Familiarity with Angular is advantageous.
• • Implementing Version Control: Employ Git and GitLab for version control, integrating automated testing through CI/CD pipelines, and fostering collaborative development.

Person Specification:

• • Educational Background: A formal degree is not obligatory; candidates with self-taught skills or equivalent experience are welcome.
• • Technical Skills:
• • Sound understanding of common architecture and design patterns
• • Exposure to managing technical debt as projects expand, or a keen desire to learn
• • Proficient in the Go language.
• • Competent with HTML, CSS, ES6, and Typescript.
• • Thorough knowledge of SQL Server or Azure SQL Database.
• • Familiarity with version control systems, specifically Git and GitLab.

Interpersonal Skills:

• • Exceptional self-management skills and a rapid grasp of new concepts.
• • Strong communication abilities, particularly in conveying technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• • Proficient in translating business requirements into technical specifications.
• • Previous experience working independently or in a small team would be advantageous.
