Summary
Working for a globally recognised brand, you will be responsible for the Full Stack development of the Company’s websites. Working alongside and in tandem with our client’s partner agency as well as their internal developers, the role will need to integrate with the current development process.
As the internal resource, you will be expected to quickly develop a full understanding of the current tech stack and be able to deliver, advise and innovate on future aspirations for the platform. The role will work very closely with the in-house Front-end Developer, Back-end Developer and the Product Owner to deliver the migration of BAU development work from the agency.
This is a remote position, however you will be expected to attend the occasional meeting on site in Margate, Kent.
General duties to include
- Help to develop and maintain eCommerce platform using modern PHP frameworks such as Laravel as well as front end frameworks such as Vue.js (Vue3)
- Work closely with the Product Owner and internal development team to ensure seamless integration of the back-end with the eCommerce platform
- Implement and develop Bloomreach CMS and eCommerce platform integrations to provide a seamless shopping experience to customers
- Using HTML, CSS and JS to build responsive web based interfaces
- Develop scalable, flexible and reusable front-end components
- Ensure technical feasibility of functional specifications
- Optimise platform performance and page load times
- Test and debug code to ensure high-quality and error-free platform functionality
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to the development of coding standards and best practices
- Estimate work, giving timescales and highlighting any identified risks
- Support the development and completion of test plans
Key Skills and Experience
- At least 3 years of experience in Full Stack web development
- Strong proficiency in modern PHP frameworks such as Laravel or Symfony
- Proficiency and experience with Vue.js
- Experience with headless eCommerce platforms and APIs
- Strong knowledge of databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL
- Experience with microservices architecture and containerisation using Docker
- Familiarity with version control systems such as Git
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
