We are looking for an creative & enthusiastic team player who has previous experience in hospitality and supervising across our cafes. Ideally, you will have some knowledge in cake making, decorating, food prep and coffee. This role is 35-40 hours a week, mainly based at our Jesmond cafe, sometimes covering holiday shifts at our Gosforth or Manors cafe.
This role would involve working with food and drinks/ Previous experience in food handling is not completely necessary however there is an expectation that the successful candidate would be knowledgeable about our menu, and learn allergens. The majority of the time you would be running the shift, organizing team members, placing orders and day to day cafe based tasks.
There would be the responsibility of cleanliness, food hygiene, stock control, orders, team management and safety.
The candidate will be able to work in a busy environment, under pressure and alongside our existing team. As Supervisor you will be able to place food orders, lead a team in the managers absence, maintain safer food standards in place and be willing to be creative with our cakes, coffees and food.
As part of the job, we would expect the candidate to travel to Gosforth, New Bridge Street and Jesmond for work. Pay increases will be made once full training is completed and based on growth in the business.
Please note, we are a local independent business and the job offers great work life balance. Must be available for weekends, and weekdays 8am to 5pm.
