Full timeNanny Housekeeper role near Alresford, SO24
This family are looking for a Nanny/Housekeeper to join them long term. They have 3 children; two boys aged 7 and 11 years and a girl aged 9 years. The 2 boys attend the same school; the eldest boards and the youngest flexi boards on occasion. Their sister attends the local village school. Experience with mild ADHD and dyslexia would be advantageous.
The role could offer the option to live in if required. Accommodation comprises of a separate annex with large private upstairs bedroom studio and bathroom. Downstairs there is the use of a separate kitchen, next to the parents office.
The days are Monday to Friday between 11.30am to 7.30pm (35-40 hours per week). The family are looking for someone to be flexible depending on boarding, school holidays, home times etc and they could also offer flexibility if someone wished to start a little later and work less hours. They may also be able to accommodate 4 days a week for the right person. They would like someone who is open to helping with occasional evening babysitting and possible weekend support, which would always be arranged in advance and paid extra.
The family is very busy with school commitments and weekly matches. They are looking for an experienced person to man the fort at home with predominantly childcare support for the girl in the afternoons (school pick up, homework, dinner and bedtime routine) and their younger son later on. Housekeeping duties will make up the reminder of the hours with all nursery duties such as children’s bedding, wardrobe management, washing and ironing, uniforms, sports kit etc. As well as some household duties including grocery management, laundry, light cleaning (they employ a separate cleaner) and simple cooking for the family on occasion. The family are looking for someone who is comfortable around their small (and delightful) dog and happy with a rural and active lifestyle.
During school holidays the role will become slightly more childcare and activity focussed. Duties to include driving the children to clubs and playdates, as well as planning age appropriate activities, games and planning exciting days out. With a pool and tennis courts at the house, there are also lots of fun things to do at home.
The family are looking for someone energetic, outdoorsy and pro-active who likes to get enthusiastically involved. A Nanny Housekeeper who is a real self-starter, uses their own initiative as to what needs doing and is happy to muck in where needed. Both parents work from home and are hands on with the children. This is a permanent, shared care role with an opportunity to join and support a lovely, busy family.
