Role Overview:
- Position: Full-Time Teaching Assistant (1:1)
- Location: South Liverpool
- Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday
- Working closely with a single child to provide individualised support and assistance throughout the school day.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver tailored support and assistance to the assigned student, focusing on their specific needs and learning objectives.
- Collaborate with the classroom teacher to implement personalised learning plans and strategies designed to maximise the student's academic progress and overall development.
- Assist the student with classwork, assignments, and educational activities, ensuring comprehension and engagement.
- Foster a nurturing and supportive environment that promotes the student's confidence, independence, and well-being.
- Monitor the student's progress and behaviour, providing feedback and reinforcement as necessary.
- Communicate effectively with the student, teachers, parents, and other relevant stakeholders to ensure consistency and continuity of support.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children, preferably in an educational setting.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships and rapport with students.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for helping children succeed.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods and approaches to meet the individual needs and learning styles of the student.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
- Hold an enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to undertake a new one.
